Medicinal plant Garden
The college's "Medicinal Plant Garden" hosts a variety of plants known for their medicinal properties. However, students often lack the knowledge to identify these plants and understand their uses. To bridge this gap, faculty members from the Botany Department assist students by identifying the plants with their scientific names and providing detailed information about their medicinal uses.
Identification of plant species:
The college campus hosts a diverse range of plant species. Faculty members from the Botany Department conducted an audit and taxonomically identified various species, including herbs, shrubs, and trees. Each identified plant was then tagged accordingly.
Conservation some threatened and exotic plants:
Best practices were planted to conserve several threatened and exotic plants. Additionally, some exotic and beautiful plants were planted in the garden and other parts of the college campus.
