The Department of Microbiology believes in hard work, proper education, courage to ensure benignity for the development of science and scientific ethics. The department is devoted to educate and train students in the discipline of Microbiology and to expand the body of knowledge of this scientific field through research oriented practical programs.
The objectives of the department is to-
- Prepare students with in-depth knowledge and practical skills for professional careers in Microbiology.
- Serve society by promoting scientific knowledge.
- Preserve, add to, evaluate, and transmit knowledge in the field of Microbiology
- Enhance opportunities for research and scholarship for faculty members as well as undergraduate students as far as possible under the present infrastructure.
- Generate pool of students with profound knowledge in Microbiology to combat pandemics (like COVID-19) and communicable diseases.
